LOYAL TO SAFETY: UPDATED POLICIES FOR HEALTH & SAFETY
The health and safety of our Guests and Team are our top priority. We’ve followed the guidance of Dr. Bonnie Henry and WorkSafeBC to ensure we meet the highest of standards. The way we work has changed and we appreciate your understanding and patience while we find our way.
For full transparency, here are some important notes of changes to expect at your next visit. It is important to note that these changes are for now, not forever. We will be nimble in adjusting our policies are recommendations unfold from healthcare experts.
Here are some of the changes to expect at your next visit to Loyal Hair….
|Front End/Reception||•$5 Safety Surcharge is applied to each service bill to contribute to the added costs of Personal Protective Equipment and Environmental upgrades.
•Guests and Team exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms must stay home and may not enter the salon.
•Guests will be asked pre-screening questions at time of confirmation.
•Temperature check is completed for everyone entering the salon.
•Non-essential high touch items (ie. testers & brochures) removed.
•Way finding markers placed on floor.
•Sanitation Station for hand washing & electronic devices to be used on entry of the salon.
•Guests are requested to limit the amount of personal items as they must be placed at the workstation for the entire service.
•Guests are asked not to touch or handle retail product.
•Beverage service is discontinued aside from bottled water.
•Plexi shield is installed at reception as a physical barrier.
•Debit & Credit Card payments solely accepted- no cash.
|Service Sanitation Protocols||•Plexi shields installed between each station & shampoo basin
•Guests must wear a mask during entire service.
•Dry cutting is not permitted on unwashed hair.
•Tools are not shared between stations and sanitized after each use.
•Recyclable single use towels are used for all services.
•Sanek strips are used at the neckline, brushes not used to remove hair clippings.
•Shampoo basins disinfected after each Guest.
|Workspace Sanitation||•Workstation must be cleaned and sanitized after each client.
•All hair clippings are removed.
•Chair & base are cleaned with disinfectant.
•iPads are cleaned with disinfectant.
•Detailed cleaning checklist completed after each client.
|Booking/Guest Management||•Less Service Providers are scheduled per shift with extended hours to ensure physical distancing.
•One to One Servicing of all clients to reduce cross contamination.
•Guests must enter the salon at exact appointment time, no reception seating is available.
•Only booked Guests or those buying retail are permitted in the salon. Spouses, children and pets must wait outside of the salon.
|Team & Guest Safety||•Must complete all Sanitation Checklists.
•Guests and Team must wear masks during all services.
•Ensure Guests respect the Loyal to Safety guidelines.
•Must wear gloves when touching garbage, recycling, used client items and chemicals.
•Wash or sanitize hands every time you enter the space, before and after each client, and after any other activity.
•Disposable aprons to be worn with all services.
